Welcome to the AT HelpDesk

We’re a New Brunswick-based division of the Neil Squire Society(new window). Our services are designed to help you access up-to-date Assistive Technology (AT) information and to receive support related to the sourcing and use of AT. Our goal is to help reduce the employment gap for persons with disabilities by providing easy access to vendor-neutral, up-to-date information regarding Assistive Technology solutions for education and/or employment.

In order to better serve our clients, we’ve created a database of AT programs, resources, and supports that are currently available in New Brunswick. To access that database, click here.(new window) Our website is updated on a weekly basis with content ranging from product reviews, instructional guides, news, and more. That content is also released on a weekly basis via e-bulletin, which you can sign up for here(new window).

Neil Squire respectfully acknowledges that we do our work on the traditional and ancestral territories of Indigenous Peoples who are stewards of these lands, colonially known as Canada, since time immemorial. Indigenous lands across Canada are either self-governed by First Nations under modern treaty, unceded and surrendered territories, or traditional territories from which they have been displaced. We are grateful to be living and working on this land.

Our Atlantic regional office is located on the traditional unceded territory of the Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq, and Passamaquoddy Peoples who signed the Treaty of Peace and Friendship in 1726 with the British Crown. The treaties did not surrender lands but recognized Mi’kmaq and Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet) title and established rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
