| Description | NBPL provide access to alternative format collections (Playaway, audio books on CD, DAISY talking books on CD, large print books, Braille, Print/Braille, described video, downloadable ebooks and audio books) for people with print disabilities (a person who cannot read print due to a vision impairment, physical disability or a learning disability) at the library or through home delivery. Some libraries may have a DAISY Player for short-term loan, please contact your local library for information. Public libraries throughout the province have an adaptive workstation available to transform print or electronic information into an accessible format. The workstations are wheelchair accessible and are loaded with a variety of adaptive software and hardware. |
