Description | The Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation (SCCR) is a specialty, tertiary, Centre equipped and staffed to treat the most complex neurological conditions. These conditions include stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and neuromuscular disorders such as muscular dystrophy, ALS and cerebral palsy. The Centre also provides treatment for the most complex forms of autism spectrum disorder. The goal of SCCR is, by including patients as part of the team, to achieve as much independence and self-direction for the patient as possible. This is done by combining medical and therapeutic skills as well as rehabilitation technologies.
